Horizon Air's 'Go Dawgs' Livery Debuts in Daylight at MFR

The University of Washington 'Go Dawgs' livery has made its daytime debut at Rogue Valley International Medford Airport (MFR)! Previous Southern Oregon visits were at night. Tail number #N662QX (“Go Dawgs”), this aircraft will be operated by Horizon Air, the regional carrier for @Alaska Airlines. This livery is the second of two planned university-themed liveries, following the Washington State University 'Go Cougs' livery introduced in September.

"Since launching our first university-themed livery almost 20 years ago, we know that few things get local fans as excited as seeing their school's colors on the side of Horizon Air's airplanes," said Joe Sprague, President of Horizon Air.

Both WSU and UW colors and logos have previously adorned the exteriors of planes operated by Horizon Air. However, the company has now transitioned to an all-jet fleet comprised of Embraer E175 jet aircraft.

Benefits of the E175 aircraft include:

  • Three service tiers, mirroring Alaska Airlines' Boeing 737s.Opportunities for premium members to upgrade to First and Premium Class.
  • A seating arrangement where every seat is either a window or an aisle; middle seats are absent.
  • A quieter journey compared to the Q400 turboprop.
  • Onboard entertainment and Wi-Fi availability.
  • Expansive overhead compartments for luggage storage.
  • Faster speeds than the Q400.
